They released their first album "Simplexity" in 2004. In later years, he played with One Day As A Lion, (Odaal), which he founded, alongside drummer Robby Altschuller and bassist Philip Ellis. He has a brother named Gabe. He got his acting start in two of David DeCoteau's homoerotic horror films. The first was a lead role in the film ''The Frightening'' (2002) and the second in a supporting role in the film ''Leeches!'' (2003). Twining's best known acting role came from playing River Carpenter on the daytime soap opera ''One Life to Live'' from 2003 until 2004.
